Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade if you prefer)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni slices (as many as you like)
- Optional toppings: sliced onions, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc.
- Olive oil for brushing
- Cornmeal or flour for dusting
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended for your pizza dough (usually around 450°F or 230°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. If you like a thin crust, roll it thinner; for a thicker crust, keep it a bit thicker.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dusted with cornmeal or flour to prevent sticking.
- Brush the dough with a thin layer of olive oil, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the oiled dough, again leaving a border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Add any other optional toppings you like.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Once done, carefully remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
