Homemade Peperoni Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade if you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices (as many as you like)
  • Optional toppings: sliced onions, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc.
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Cornmeal or flour for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended for your pizza dough (usually around 450°F or 230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. If you like a thin crust, roll it thinner; for a thicker crust, keep it a bit thicker.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dusted with cornmeal or flour to prevent sticking.
  4. Brush the dough with a thin layer of olive oil, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  5. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the oiled dough, again leaving a border for the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  7. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Add any other optional toppings you like.
  8. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  9. Once done, carefully remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
