2. Reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases

Eggs contain more than 40gr of HDL (good) cholesterol. HDL can prevent many cardiovascular diseases. In the past it was considered that eggs raise the cholesterol levels in our blood. In fact, this is not true.

Having the ability to regulate its own cholesterol levels, our body itself produces most of the cholesterol. This is scientifically confirmed by the Biomedical Research Center of Louisiana.

The study included 152 overweight people divided into 3 groups. People in the first group ate nothing for breakfast, the second group had 2 eggs for breakfast, and people in the third group ate a piece of bread.

According to the results, people who had eggs for breakfast managed to lose 75% more weight and 35% more belly fat compared to the other two groups and they experienced no changes in their cholesterol levels.

Eggs have high content of omega-3 fatty acids that can significantly reduce the levels of triglycerides which in turn can prevent many cardiovascular diseases.
