How to Clean Your Oven Window on the Inside
Cleaning the inside of your oven door can be a bit more challenging. After all, the grease you’ll be tackling has literally been baking on the glass for weeks, months or maybe even years.
You’ll need:
- ½ cup of baking soda
- Water
- A small- to medium-sized bowl
- Microfiber cloths
- A razor blade (optional)
- Open the door and wipe off any loose bits of grime with a damp microfiber cloth.
- Pour the baking soda in the bowl.
- Slowly add water to the baking soda to make a paste. It should be about the consistency of shaving cream.
- Spread the paste on the inside of the oven window.
- Let this sit for around 15 to 20 minutes.
- Moisten a clean microfiber cloth and wipe the paste away.
- If any stuck-on gunk remains, use the razor blade to gently scrape it away. Make certain to use the flat edge and not the corner so that you don’t scratch your glass.
- Repeat steps 1 through 7 as needed.
- Use a dry microfiber cloth to buff out any streaks in the glass.
