1 1⁄2 cup rolled oats |
3⁄4 cup whole wheat flour |
1⁄2 tsp baking soda |
1⁄2 tsp table salt |
1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon |
1⁄2 cup butter, softened |
1⁄2 cup brown sugar, packed |
1⁄4 cup white sugar |
1 large egg |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
1 cup raisins, chopped |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine oats, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl and set aside. In a large bowl using an electric mixer, cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Mix in egg and vanilla extract. Stir in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 to 12 minutes for crispy cookies. Remove from the oven and cool for 2 to 3 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
