JEWISH APPLE CAKE

**Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a glaze of choice **
Preheat oven to 350°
Bake for 1 hour to 1 /1 2 hrs.
Mine took 1 hour and 9 mins…
Grease and flour 10in.tube pan
(For the Apples)
5 apples ,peeled, cored, sliced and tossed with
5 TBS SUGAR
2 tsp.cinnamon
**For the cake batter
3 cups a.p.flour(unsifted)
2 1/2 cup sugar
3 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
(Whisk together)
add
1cup oil
2 1/2 tsp.REAL vanilla
4 lg.eggs (unbeaten)
1/2 cup orange juice or
Pineapple juice
Beat together just until smooth. Layering the Apples and batter
(Begin with batter)..
I ended with apples on top.
*Drizzle with
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
5tsp.milk
1/2 tsp.vanilla
**or dust with powdered sugar.
