Ingredients
- 2⁄3 cup low-sodium soy sauce, or tamari
- 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
- 1⁄3 cup rice wine
- 3 1⁄2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1⁄4 tsp white pepper
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
Directions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce or tamari, chicken broth, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper. In a separate bowl, dissolve corn starch in water.
- Heat a pan over high heat and add cooking oil, swirling to coat. Add garlic and ginger and saute, stirring, until fragrant, about 15 seconds. Add soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 1 minute. Add corn starch mixture and cook, stirring, until the sauce boils and thickens.
